Della and her son, Xavier would like to say "Thank you to "hope for Tomorrow" for their assistance when they needed it the most." Della felt like her back was up against a brick wall and was comforted in how "hope for Tomorrow helped them so much. She was spiritually counseled, given love and support, wise guidance, and temporary housing. She said "you understand us, and you trusted and believed in our dream and helped us to accomplish it." Now, Della and her son, has a job, a budget plan, and permanent housing. Her dream has become a reality.
Another single mother with children, said "Hope for Tomorrow" was very helpful and understanding, gave me comfort and hope. When every other shelter closed their doors, they opened the doors to a new beginning and for a better life, helped me to be a better role model for my children and to better myself as a person. The staff believed in me as a person, which is a difference because all my life I was told I was nothing. Thank you Hope for Tomorrow"

Ways you can help the Homeless:
1. Never give cash. Well-intended gifts are often converted to drugs or alcohol- even when the hard-luck stories they tell are true. If the person is hungry, buy them a sandwich and a beverage.
2. Talk to the person with respect. Speaking to them in a friendly manner can give them a sense of civility and dignity. It also helps them to fight isolation and depression.
3. Recognize that homeless people and their problems are not all the same. The you meet may be battered, an addict, or someone who is lacking in job skills.
4. Share God's love and pray whenever you can. If Jesus were walking the earth today, He would certainly spend time with the homeless.Today, Jesus chooses to work through those who believe and follow Him to bring many of the broken to Himself.
5. Take precautions for your safety. Some living on the streets are criminals and fugitives from the law. Be prudent and stay in areas where other people can see you. Don't take unnecessary chances.
6. Encourage the homeless to call us your local mission.
7. Support your local mission here at "Hope for Tomorrow."
